The brand

Dictador is a dynamic, modern and luxury lifestyle brand that embodies heritage and provenance, with a history in spirits production of over 100 years. The brand offers unrivalled, award-winning ultra-premium Colombian aged spirits, coffee and Dominican cigars to a discerning worldwide clientele. All those products are available all over the world.
The brand is named after Severo Arango y Ferro, which pet name was “El Dictador”. But the company Dictador was established by his follower, Don Julio Arango and Hernan Parra in 1913.

The distillery

Dictador has been celebrating over 100 years of production at the Destillería Colombiana in Cartagena, Colombia, which boasts a tropical climate yielding an ultra-high grade sugar cane. It is this magical balance of weather and land which enables Dictador to produce an exceptional range of quality rums and gins. Based in Cartagena, Colombia, Dictador has the privilege of being in the northern region of South America with over 800 miles of coast on the sparkling Caribbean Sea.

The rum is made with Sugar Cane Honey and then it is distilled with two different distillation methods.

Available all over the world

Spirits of this brand are extremely requested. Because of the permanent request the Dictador Rum is available in more than 80 countries all over the world.
Looking for perfection Dictador always wants to achieve a better quality. As a result they won many prices in the last few years. In more than 50 international competitions in the USA, France and Germany Dictador won prices in many different categories.
