Mama Vodka
The story behind the plush-vodka
Not only Russian people know how a good vodka has to taste and how it is made best: a Danish businessman and vodka-connoisseur established in 2005 in Copenhagen, Denmark, a small family company with the name “Mama”. Together with his sister he bore the idea of producing their own vodka. Although they put the most attention on the vodka itself with only well tasting ingredients manufactured with traditional production methods, the high-quality Danish design was also standing in the first place.
Ingredients & production process
Mama Vodka is made of pure rye. Many other vodkas are made of potatoes or other grain, but the quality is not as high as with 100% rye. Due to its a 5-time distilling process the vodka gets his smooth, round and gentle taste. The rye grows and matures under the nordic sun and and gets filtered by fresh spring water. The taste is absolutely pure and mild but anyway distinctive.
How the vodka got his name
It is a simple reason why the vodka is named “Mama”. Because the founders always had a tight relationship to their mother and she always wanted the best for her kids, the vodka got the name “Mama Vodka”. Actually it is kind of a declaration of love to all mothers all over the world.
Mama Vodka has won 5 gold medals in international spirits competitions, all based on blind testing.
How do drink the vodka
For mixing cocktails you can use the vodka, but also on the rocks with a splash of lemon it tastes wonderfully.
