DELLAVALLE GRAPPA
THE DISTILLERY
The family history of the “Distilleria della Valle Verde” from Piemont goes back to the year 1983. The distillery’s products are the result of many years in wine growing combined with traditional craftsmanship and innovative technologies. Using a discontinuous method, fresh pomace is distilled in a water bath, but the real distinguishing element from other companies is the exceptional ripening process. The grappa develops in barrels of liqueur wine (Marsala), sweet wine (Passito), port wine, whisky, red and white wine. This gives the grappa a very special aroma and taste.
GRAPPA FROM THE PIEMONT AND REGION
Dellavalle’s products range from Grappa Nebbiolo, Moscato, Gavi, Barbera, Chardonnay to Nebbiolo da Barolo. After distillation, the grappa is aged in stainless steel tanks and certain ones for 12 to 18 months in oak barrels. From the region around Piemont, Greco di Tufo and Amarone are produced from the vines of the same name and aged in oak barrels for 12 to 18 months.
GRAPPA REFINEMENTS
Special grappa creations are aged in barrels previously used to develop Passito, Bowmore and Glen Scotia Whisky, Demerara Rum, Sauternes or Picolit liqueur wines. There is something for every flavour: from fruity and aromatic to orange, peat, tobacco and many more. Grappa matured in chestnut wood with roasted chestnuts also makes you sit up and take notice with extraordinary aromas. Many other unique creations are waiting to be tasted.
